Health & Safety Policy
1. The Organiser (NDG) has the overall responsibility for Health & Safety.
2. Horses are easily frightened and can be dangerous, we ask our attendees to be mindful of this at all times. Members of the public are requested to keep clear from horse areas and to avoid any behaviours that could startle the horses.
3. Dogs must be kept on leads and under control.
4. Our events are organised in accordance with Health & Safety Legislation. We all have (to an extent) control of premises or site at the event and are responsible for ensuring that:
a) Everything reasonably practicable is done to ensure the health and safety and welfare of those attending the event.
b) They conduct themselves so that they do not put themselves or anyone else at risk.
c) Access to and from the site is safe.
5. Emergencies
a) Emergency services must have access to all parts of the event site at all times and members of the public must not park vehicles to obstruct any accesses.
b) First Aid points are clearly marked.
c) In the event of an emergency, members of the public should contact the nearest official and/or dial 999 from the nearest telephone.
